I’m sitting here like “why?”
Seriously, I’ll wait a few hours until it changes over to rain then go home with no traffic. (boston ma area)

Fun story: Last Sunday we had a bad storm and I was road tripping back home because I don’t let weather effect my plans. At a certain point there was snowplow and semis blocking traffic, honestly 50+ cars. So I went around all of them in the unused 3rd lane.
No slush, no wheel spin, just a little Miata on snow tires blowing by traffic. Had a couple trucks and SUVS follow my lead which I found pretty hilarious.

Yup. That’s usually me too. ‘Get out of my way!’

Ha ha I’ve done that before everyone creeping in the slow lane on packed icy crap. I went into the fast lane into the fresh untracked snow, plenty of traction. Passed 20 or 30 cars and semis.

It was fun, but I also felt guilty. Like I was breaking some unwritten rule.

Scratch “snow tires” for AWD and you get the average Canadian driver.

The best one I’ve done like that is the time I passed an entire convoy of snow plows plus the assorted backup behind them on the NJTP by cutting through a rest stop. The plows were working in close formation and not letting anyone through.

I’ve always wanted to do that!
Just waiting for the right opportunity. Though I feel like you’d probably look like a read asshole.

northwest between 95 and 495. It turned to simple rain a while ago and I am just waiting a while so I can drive home with no traffic... 4/225 area bedford like

There is one particular rest stop, It’s the one just past 7a southbound, where if you just stay on the access road you don’t actually drive through the rest stop itself, that’s the one I did the pass on. I have however used other ones to just flip from the car to the truck side to get around the plows.

That comic is 100% fact. Snow tires will getcha through it.
Well, that and a helical limited slip differential plus completely defeatable traction control :D
